This weekend we decided we needed a little bit of down time. Finals start Tuesday, and I for one, am exhausted. So we took a spur of the moment day trip on Saturday to a little city called Candelario. We were ready for something more outdoorsy to mix with all the monuments and cities. It was an hour and a half bus ride, and so precious.
We ate our packed lunch in this cute little park. (I had tortilla espanola of course.)

The city was full of hydrangeas. I loved it!
There were canals with water running off the mountains all through the city.

It felt so good to be in the woods! I forgot how much I missed it.
This is the part where they said, "Sarah Katherine come back!" And we went to find a "real" trail.
